The role of the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) is to deliver, with stakeholders, a range of options for individuals seeking debt relief and debt management. This role places AiB uniquely at the centre of the sector in Scotland and how we engage with stakeholders is increasingly recognised as vital to that role. Expenditure on Public Relations reflects the need to engage with our stakeholders as part of AiB’s role.

In quarter 4 the staff costs for external communications reduced due to one member of staff departing who AiB were unable to immediately replace. The printing and publication costs in quarter 4 include the publication of a Financial Health Supplement in the Daily Record Newspaper in order to increase awareness of the Debt Arrangement Scheme as a method of debt management.
