Three year strategy setting out how we will communicate effectively with all who use our services


Publications

Our public duty requires us to provide an accessible service to all and this applies to all our publications and templates – internal, external, online, hard copies, online versions. We have a vision of an accessible publication suite of all our documents which is compliant with accessibility standards and provides consistency across all departments of AiB. This is in turn will ultimately strengthen our image and reputation from a stakeholder perspective.

To achieve this we will:

  • produce an in-house style guide, in line with Scottish Government standards, incorporating AiB specific jargon and speak for all staff to use when considering what they write and how they write it
  • create new accessible corporate communication templates to be used by all across the agency including emails, complaint responses, training aides and system letters
  • redevelop our external publications
  • foster relationships between in house content designers and subject matter experts to develop publications which are in a consistent and readable style for the end user
