Scotland’s statutory debt solutions and diligence consultation
The Scottish Government issued a public consultation to seek further views on the recommendations put forward by the stage 2 review working groups and the diligence working group.

Mental Health Moratorium consultation
The Scottish Government published a consultation to seek views on the proposed process for a Mental Health Moratorium. This would protect people with serious mental health issues from debt recovery action.

Diligence review
In August 2018, the Scottish Government brought together a number of stakeholders to form a diligence working group. They were asked to consider the diligence landscape in Scotland and identify ways to modernise and improve it. The group met quarterly and had stakeholder representation from all relevant sectors.
