Corporate Responsibility and AiB

Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) plays a highly responsible role in Scotland. AiB is an Agency of the Scottish Government and is Scotland's Insolvency Service. Dealing with the whole of Scotland, their activities range from administering personal bankruptcy in Scotland, recording corporate insolvencies and administering the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS). AiB is a public sector organisation, i.e. a not for profit organisation.

AiB take seriously their corporate responsibility, aiming to meet the needs of their customers, staff, local community and the environment. This is achieved through regular assesement of commitments, objectives and services being provided.

Achievements

The efforts of the Agency have been recognised with AiB being nominated for the 2007 National Business Awards for Scotland for their ideas and contributions to the Scottish economy.

AiB were commended at the Civil Service Excellence Awards in 2008 for the hard work, determination and dedication of their staff.

The Environment

AiB pro-actively champion environmental initiatives in order to minimise their impact on the environment. AiB have set a number of targets and policies to support their environmental commitments.
