This page lists key points to be noted when making a moratorium application.

Application process
How to apply
The most efficient way to apply is through the Register of Insolvency.
Applications can also be submitted using the manual entry forms. These can be requested from Insolvency Registrations team.
Application guidance
If the application is submitted successfully, this will be displayed on screen. No further confirmation will be sent to the applicant.
AiB will then review the application and make a decision.
Application accepted
If successful, AiB will register the details on the Register of Insolvencies or DAS Register.
To find an entry, please ensure to include the surname and post code of the applicant.
Application refused
If unsuccessful, a letter will be sent to the applicant explaining the reasons for rejection.
The decision to refuse a moratorium is not subject to appeal.
