ASTRA update
The latest update to ASTRA went live on 1 July 2024 with the following functionality added.
Form 5A – Application for agreement to refuse debtor discharge
The new statutory form was introduced within the PTD regulation amendments. Similar to the Form 5, users can submit the Form 5A for a decision from the PTD team. Workflow queues are available, showing submitted, rejected, refused and approved forms.
Form 5 – Application for discharge of debtor
The form on ASTRA was updated to include the new statements of debtor discharge, which were introduced in the PTD regulation amendments. Should the trustee submit the form before the end of the minimum term of 48 months, a reason for early discharge must be selected from the drop down menu before submitting and upload relevant evidence.
New invoice for annual supervision fee
The annual AiB Supervision fee has changed to £120 from the 1 July. The new invoice will automatically generate on each anniversary year of the trust deed being signed.
Further ASTRA development is ongoing with both the PTD team and Digital Transformation Team working hard behind the scenes to make improvements for all users.
The ASTRA guide has been updated to reflect all updates to the system. It will no longer be published on the AiB website, but instead will be downloadable in a new guidance section of ASTRA. This section will be available on the next upgrade. In the meantime, a copy has been sent to your trustee and is also available on request from the PTD team.
Should you require further information of the above or you have any suggestions for improvement on ASTRA, please contact the PTD team.
