This guidance describes the general functions of Accountant in Bankruptcy, interim trustees, trustees and commissioners in relation to their responsibilities regarding bankruptcies which started on or after 30 November 2016.

15.4 Actions of the Bankruptcy Administration team

When the criteria has not been met the team will reject the application in writing providing the reason(s).

When the criteria has been met the team will:

  • notify the debtor, the former trustee (who is not the applicant) and all known creditors of the application
  • inform the above they may make representations within 14 days of the notification
