This guide provides general advice on bankruptcy for people who have been made bankrupt
How long will my bankruptcy last?
Normally you will be discharged one year after the date the bankruptcy was awarded. Your discharge is dependent on your co-operation. Your trustee can refuse to discharge you if you do not cooperate.
Your trustee will write to you and tell you if whether or not they intend to discharge you. You can make representations or ask for a review if you believe it is not the correct decision.
