AiB Digital Strategy 2026-2030

AiB publishes a new digital strategy, setting an ambitious direction for the next five years, focusing on modern technology, high‑quality digital design, and a secure, integrated infrastructure to support an agile, user‑centred organisation

Cloud transition

The cloud transition represents a foundational enabler of our broader digital ambitions. Our initial Cloud migration focussed on our public facing systems. The next step on the cloud journey is to migrate our back-office systems. Completing our cloud migration will provide Accountant in Bankruptcy with scalable, resilient, secure infrastructure capable of supporting both present and future service demands.

The cloud platform will allow us to optimise costs through intelligent resource allocation and will be enforced via tagging, rightsizing and lifecycle policies, improve service resilience, enable faster deployment cycles, and provide access to advanced security capabilities. This will also simplify integration with other Scottish Government services and modern digital platforms.

Architectures will be cloud-first, loosely coupled and managed through Infrastructure as Code to reduce drift and accelerate delivery.
