Communication Strategy 2025-28

Three year strategy setting out how we will communicate effectively with all who use our services

Introduction

We are pleased to introduce our Communication Strategy for 2025-2028.

We are committed to delivering a high-quality public service for the citizens of Scotland. To be successful in doing this, we need to ensure we communicate effectively with all those who use our services – both professionally and personally.

Our Communication Strategy sets out how we will consider the needs of our users from the outset of any communication by putting them at the heart of everything we do and say.

Our vision is to:

  • deliver an accessible service through our communication channels

  • support the core agency objectives by continuously improving our communications whilst engaging actively with our stakeholders

  • strengthen our online presence and appearance by aligning with Scottish Government Digital Standards

  • provide the end user with a clear and impactful journey across our digital services and publications

We cannot achieve this alone, and we need to work together across the agency and with our stakeholders to create a better experience for all.

We will recognise our different user needs, and how these might differ from how we’ve done things in the past.

This strategy will allow us to reassess our position and make improvements where financially possible. It will focus on the following areas which we believe are our key to success:

  • publications

  • accessibility

  • content design

  • website

  • internal and external communication channels

  • corporate image
