Three year strategy setting out how we will communicate effectively with all who use our services
Purpose
Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) as an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government is responsible for the:
-
administration of the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS), personal insolvency, and recording of corporate insolvencies in Scotland
-
development of policy for personal insolvency, DAS and diligence in Scotland
-
supervision of the insolvency process
We carry out our responsibilities through our three strategic purposes set out in the Business Plan and are detailed below. This strategy is designed to support the agency in achieving these.
Strategic purpose 1 - deliver core products
We will ensure Scottish insolvency and debt management legislation and services effectively address the challenges society face today. We will also provide a service for debt management and debt relief which remains fit for the current climate.
Strategic purpose 2 - continuous improvement
We will make the best use of available information to allow our staff to deliver products and services to the highest professional standards. We will take a digital by default approach to the services we provide.
Strategic purpose 3 - stakeholder engagement
We will build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, providing a better service for everyone and developing the services that people need, in partnership with them.
