Strategic aim

To support the Scottish Government's target to achieve net zero emissions by 2045.

Strategic outcome

We reduce our annual carbon footprint as an organisation through reduction of offsetting exercises and delivery of real reduction and efficiency in both AiB and through contracted suppliers.

Objective

Make long-term energy savings by assessing AiB’s physical environment and reduce wastage by improving internal processes. 

What we will do

• undertake a full review of AiB’s utility usage, working with our facilities contract provider to understand our energy usage and control this in a more efficient way
• continue our progress towards becoming a paperless office as described in the digital mailroom focus
• provide support to local sustainability projects
